INSIDE DANCE. PCC Center for the Arts Recital Hall. 2202 W. Anklam Road. Join Gray Montague, Executive Director of Ballet Arizona, for Inside Dance: A Multi-Media Encounter. This free series brings dancers and dance lovers together for an intimate exploration of this dynamic art form. On Tuesday, September 30, it's Diaghilev and The Ballet Russes: a look at Russian classical ballet impresario Sergey Diaghilev's contribution to the modern dance world. Watch screenings of Le Spectre de la Rose and Petrouchka, by the Paris Opera Ballet; and Les Sylphides, by American Ballet Theatre. Events begin at 7 p.m. Call the CFA Infoline at 206-6988 for information. JAZZ IN AZ. UA Crowder Hall, south end of the pedestrian underpass on Speedway and Park Avenue. The University of Arizona School of Music and Dance presents Jazz In AZ, featuring members of the UA Dance Ensemble and the Studio Jazz Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 25. Performances will include Sabor a Mi and Pockets, both of which were performed in Amsterdam at the International Theatre School Festival this past summer. New to the UA stage is There Will Never Be Another You, performed with live music and vocals; and Going Baroque, by the visiting Watson Dance Trio. Tickets are $8, $6 students/seniors. Scott Ave. The Xanadu Dance Studio presents Elena, Mideastern dancer extraordinare at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 27. Seventh St. Learn the movements of dance from Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria, and Afro-Brazilian and Cuban regions, with teacher Denise Hawthorne Bey, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesdays, and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays.
