Ballet Continental begins its 12th season with La Fille Mal Gardée, with performances at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, October 4 and 5. PCC Center for the Arts Recital Hall. 2202 W. Anklam Road. Join Gray Montague, Executive Director of Ballet Arizona, for Inside Dance: A Multi-Media Encounter. This free series brings dancers and dance lovers together for an intimate exploration of this dynamic art form. On Tuesday, October 7, take a closer look at George Balanchine, with screenings of The Four Temperaments and Serenade. This lecture is the perfect precursor for the Ballet Arizona performance October 10 and 11. Events begin at 7 p.m. Call 206-6988 for recorded information. ORTS THEATRE OF DANCE. PCC Center for the Arts. 2202 W. Anklam Road. October 2 through 5: Orts Theatre of Dance presents Robert Davidson's acclaimed Airborne: Meister Eckhart. This "total theatre" event features more than 35 dancers, actors and singers. Performances are at 10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10, $8 for students and seniors, $5 for PCC students, with discounts for religious organizations, churches, and groups of 10 or more. Seventh St. Learn the movements of dance from Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria, and Afro-Brazilian and Cuban regions with teacher Denise Hawthorne Bey, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesdays, and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays.
