The Sedona Arts Center presents its 10th annual Sedona Sculpture Walk, featuring a variety of sculptural forms from Native American and Western themes, to contemporary and abstract images in wood and metal. ART WALK UPDATE. Docent-guided Art Walk tours of the Arts District and downtown galleries are taking a vacation until the fall. Self-guided tours may continue, but calling ahead to confirm gallery hours is suggested. Call the Tucson Arts District Partnership at 624-9977 for a brochure of downtown galleries and information.

ARTIST LOANS. Applications are available for the fall cycle of the Tucson Arts District's Art Space Development Loan Program, designed to preserve existing art space and stimulate the development of new space in the downtown area. Projects resulting in equity positions for artists and/or arts organizations and those resulting in the renovation of existing buildings for long-term art uses will be given preference. Amounts of up to $5,000 are available for those interested in acquiring, renovating, and/or rehabilitating downtown area property for arts uses. Application deadline is Wednesday, October 8. CALL TO ARTISTS. Dinnerware Contemporary Art Gallery is accepting slides for the Artist Roster. Being included on the roster makes an artist eligible for exhibitions and membership. The Tucson/Pima Arts Council Cultural Heritage Committee, in conjunction with the Instituto Cultural Mexicano and the Southern Arizona Coalition of Latino Arts, are sponsoring a Día de los Muertos exhibition featuring altars, mixed-media, paintings, and sculptural pieces. CALL TO ARTISTS. The Tucson International Mariachi Conference seeks submissions for the Bank One Tucson International Mariachi Conference Poster. Artists are invited to submit original artwork, sketches or three slides, completed within the last two years. An honorarium of $1,000 will be awarded for the winning artwork. Artwork should reflect the 1998 Conference theme: Aires Mexicanos, its impact and cultural significance, in an abstract or representational style. CALL TO ARTISTS. The Tucson/Pima Arts Council seeks proposals for four site walls along Broadway in downtown Tucson. Artists may apply for one or more walls, and may apply individually or as teams. The four walls have large, unrusticated surfaces. Any durable, safe medium, two- or three-dimensional, is acceptable.
