DOWNTOWN SATURDAY. Downtown Tucson is alive all day and
all night Saturday, January 17. Pima Community College West Campus
co-hosts this installment of Downtown Saturday Night with a showcase
of the many exciting opportunities available at PCC West at the
Ronstadt Transit Center. The PCC students and staff will present:
an Interpretive Sign Language performance; musical performances
and art displays; student film screenings; display tables featuring
"Chemistry & Magic" and watch out for "Flubber,"
in addition to dance and cultural events. Alternate rain sites
will be scheduled; call for information. If a little jazz is more
your thing, stop by Winsett Park at 316 N. Fourth Ave. for music
by Arthur Migliazza of the Blues Kats. Migliazza performs from

HOLLYWOOD MAGIC. The Gaslight Theater. 7010 E. Broadway.
886-9428. Bring the family for an evening of magic and comedy
with An Evening of Hollywood Magic at 7 p.m. Monday, January 19.
Featuring magicians from Hollywood, Las Vegas and Tucson, this
show will be sure to please young and old alike. Tickets are $7.50.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a little "table magic"
with Norm Marini, Gene Collins and Tom Potter. Call William's

JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL. Tucson Jewish Community Center. 3800
E. River Road. 299-3000. The seventh annual Jewish Film Festival
continues through January 22. Films from the United States, Canada,
Europe and Israel are featured. Some films will be screened at
the UA Gallagher Theatre. Call the JCC AT 299-3000 for a schedule

MALANKA. The Heidelberg. 4606 E. Pima St. The Ukrainian
American Society of Tucson celebrates the New Year (on the Gregorian
calendar) on Saturday, January 17. This Malanka celebration and
dance benefits the Children of Chornobyl Relief Fund. Music will
be provided by the Tom Schenek band. No-host cocktails begin at
6:30, dinner begins at 7 and dancing will continue from 8 to 11
p.m. Cost is $20, $15 for students; a portion of the cost is tax-deductible.

QUINTESSENTIAL PARTY. 118 S. Fifth Ave. Quintessential
Productions, Inc., a theatre education and performance group,
presents their Quintessential Vintage Fashion Show at 8 p.m. Saturday,
January 17. The fashion show, showcasing some of the city's hottest
vintage duds, features swing-cat Paul Elia as emcee; Elia will
also perform classic Sinatra tunes after the show. Tickets for

WINE & DINE. Hugo O'Connor's Restaurant, in the Historic
Manning House. 450 W. Paseo Redondo. Take a tour of the Napa Valley
without leaving Tucson on Thursday, January 22. Enjoy the Tour
de Vin Seminar, which includes a four-course gourmet dinner featuring

WALKING TOURS. The Arizona Historical Society presents
Walking Tours of Historic Tucson from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays
through March. Begining at the Sosa-Carillo-Fremont House Museum,
the tour takes you to more than 20 homes, sites and historic buildings.
