Opening This Week
GREASE IS THE WORD. UA Centennial Hall, located on University
Boulevard east of the Main Gate. Slick back your hair for Grease!,
performed by its national touring company. Performances are at
8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, January 16 and 17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday,

INVISIBLE THEATRE. 1400 N. First Ave. Opening January 21
and continuing through February 8: Scotland Road, the story
of a young woman in 19th-century clothing found clinging to an
iceburg in the North Atlantic. Preview performances are at 7:30
p.m. Monday and Tuesday, January 19 and 20. Regular performances
continue at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, at 8 p.m. Thursday
through Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. A free seminar follows
the January 28 performance. Preview tickets are $10; regular performance

RED HOUSE THEATER PROJECT. Temple of Music and Art Cabaret
Theatre. 330 S. Scott Ave. Opening January 16 and continuing through
January 24: Random Acts, an evening of five one-act plays.
Program includes "The Jewish Wife" and "The Informer"
by Bertholt Brecht; "Ohio Impromptu" and "Come
and Go" by Samuel Beckett; and "Song Without Words"
by Hal Melfi. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday,

QUINTESSENTIAL PRODUCTIONS. 118 S. Fifth Ave. Opening January
21 and continuing through February 1: The Pied Piper, an
interactive children's play. Performances are at 7 p.m. Wednesday

ARIZONA THEATER COMPANY. TMA Alice Holsclaw Theater. 330
S. Scott Ave. Continuing through January 31: The Heiress, the
Tony Award-winning play based on Henry James' novel Washington
Square. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday,
8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Saturday and
Sunday. Special performances for the visually impaired are offered
at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 18, and at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January
21. Tickets range from $18.50 to $27.50, available at the ATC
box office and all Dillard's outlets. Half-price adult and $10
student rush tickets are offered one hour prior to curtain at

Blaguards. This nationally acclaimed two-actor play brings

Ensemble Company from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 20. Students

annual Simon Peter Passion Play of Tucson will hold auditions
for the 1998 cast of this three-hour musical/drama based on the
life of Christ. Performances are scheduled for Easter at the TCC
