LE BALLET NATIONAL DU SENEGAL. UA Centennial Hall. 1020
E. University Blvd. Internationally renowned African dance company
Le Ballet National du Senegal performs the full-length work Pangols
at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 1. "Pangols" is a West
African word referring to the spiritual nature of all beings and
things. Dancer and choreographer Barbea Williams offers a discussion
of West African culture and dance from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m., in Room
102 of the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) Building,
north of Centennial Hall. Tickets range from $16 to $28, half-price
for children 18 and under and all students with ID. Call Paula

MARK MORRIS DANCE GROUP. UA Centennial Hall. 1020 E. University
Blvd. The Mark Morris Dance Group performs four recent dance works
accompanied by live chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October
7. Audience members can meet the artists after the performance
in Centennial Hall. There's a free discussion of modern dance
from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. in Room 102 of the Center for English as
a Second Language (CESL) Building. Tickets for the performance
range from $16 to $28, half-price for children 18 and under and

SOCIAL DANCE. A "Costume Caper" social
dance for adults with disabilities meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday,
October 3, at the Armory Center, 220 S. Fifth Ave. Admission is

TECHNIQUE CLASS. Observe and/or participate in Mark Morris'
free Intermediate/Advanced Technique Class from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
