Opening August 22 and continuing through September 7: The Waiting Room, a critical look at the way different cultures eroticize women's bodies. Preview performance is at 8 p.m. Thursday, August 21. Regular performances are 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, with 2 o'clock Sunday matinees. There will be no evening performance August 24. Opening night tickets are $15, which includes post-performance reception. Regular performance tickets range from $6 to $12, available at Antigone Books, the Borderlands Theater office, Yoly's Music Shop, and the PCC West Campus cashier. ATC GALA CELEBRATION. Temple of Music and Art. 330 S. Scott Ave. 884-4875. The Arizona Theatre Company celebrates its 31st season with its annual Gala Celebration Saturday, September 20. ATC honors Sally and Clague Van Slyke for their continued dedication to the Arizona Theatre Company, in addition to celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Temple of Music and Art. The evening begins with a wine reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by the opening night performance of the Noel Coward comedy Blithe Spirit. A post-performance buffet dinner will be served by B&B Café, with dancing under the stars to follow. Tickets are $150, and corporate tables are available. Call 884-8210 for tickets and information.
