ARTS BRIGADE. Join the Brigade in celebrating the unveiling of their Share The Bounty Mural from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 21. There will be music, food, fun, and more for the entire family. Get involved with the Brigade: Help paint a mural on Fourth Avenue, work on a Quilt of Solidarity, participate in the street chalk mural and more with the Arts Brigade, an intergenerational collective of politically minded cultural workers. To get the scoop, join them any Tuesday at 7 p.m. for an orientation meeting. The Brigade believes that everyone should be afforded the rights and means to tell their stories. They are offering summer workshops that help to explore the many ways cultural work can help bring about positive individual and social transformation.
