ARTS BRIGADE. Help paint a mural on Fourth Avenue, work on a Quilt of Solidarity, participate in the street chalk mural and more with the Arts Brigade, an intergenerational collective of politically minded cultural workers. To get the scoop, join them any Tuesday at 7 p.m. for an orientation meeting. The Brigade believes that everyone should be afforded the rights and means to tell their stories. They are offering summer workshops that help to explore the many ways cultural work can help bring about positive individual and social transformation. Workshops include: Cultural Work in Action, Printmaking, Seizing The Airwaves, Introduction to Humane Living, and more. Call 629-8346 for information.
CALL TO ARTISTS. Tohono Chul Park seeks artists working with colored pencils for a juried exhibition sponsored by the Arizona Colored Pencil Society, scheduled to run October 9 through November 30.
