by Amy Zuckerman combining photographs and tape recordings of

Alma del Pueblo: Spanish Folk Art and its Transformation in the

the enduring Spanish influence on Latino communities in the Americas.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. Upstairs Film is currently accepting
submissions for the new short film screening series, Mixed-Media
Mondays, at the Club Congress. Acceptable formats are 8mm,
16mm and VHS tape. Films should 40 minutes or less, and independently

a call for entries for the third annual Art In Bloom exhibit.
Participating artists are required to submit for-sale works inspired
by the Southwest desert environment, valued from $25 to $2,000,

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. A national juried exhibition inspired
by urban sprawl in the Sonoran Desert entitled Encroachment:

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. T/PAC Community Gallery announces
pre-submission meetings for two public art opportunities: $14,000
has been commissioned for art for a neighborhood center in Freedom
Park. The meeting is at
4 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the Columbus Branch Library, 4350 E.
22nd St. And $10,000 has been commissioned for artwork for SunTran's
new University transit hub. The meeting is at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday,
May 27, at the UA visitor center on campus. T/PAC is also seeking
submissions of works in all media priced up to $1,800 by local
artists for the City of Tucson's permanent collection. Perspective
participants should submit up to four slides, slide sheet and

EMPOWERMENT WORKSHOPS. WomanKraft Castle Art Center. 388

Arts Empowerment Workshop Series from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
Workshops are $10, free to anyone making less than $15,000 a year,
