Opening This Week
SHAKESPEARE AND ME. UA Marroney Theatre, located on the
south end of the pedestrian underpass on Speedway and Park Avenue.
One performance only, Saturday, April 4: London actress Barbara
Kinghorn performs Shakespeare and Me, a one-woman show.
Show time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, $13 for seniors and UA
employees, $11 for students.
ARIZONA REPERTORY THEATER. Preview performances of the
spring production of Much Ado About Nothing are at 1:30
p.m. Sunday, April 5, and 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 6. Both performances
are at the Laboratory Theatre. Tickets are $7. Opening April 2
and continuing through April 4: The Zoo Story and Fun,
two one-act plays. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through
Saturday, with a 1:30 Saturday matinee, and are in Directing Studio
116 in the new UA Drama Building. Admission is free, but seating

Theatre Company Teen/Children's Troupe presents The Wizard
of Oz. Performances are at 6 and 8 p.m. Mondays, April 6 and

Fuente Ovejuna, featuring a bilingual cast and crew performing
in Spanish and English. The opening celebration is at 8 p.m. Friday,
April 3, and includes a post-performance reception. Tickets are
$15, $12 for performance only, and $6 for student rush tickets
(available 15 minutes prior to curtain). Regular performances
are at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets
range from $6 to $12. There is a preview performance at 8 p.m.

CANYON DEL ORO HIGH SCHOOL. 25 W. Calle Concordia. April
2 through 4 only: 42nd Street Lullaby, the high school
drama department's rendition of the popular Broadway musical comedy.

TUCSON COMMUNITY THEATRE. Opening April 3 and continuing
through April 25: Tucson Parks and Recreation Community Theatre
presents Another Day in the Glade, a selection of scenes
from works by William Shakespeare. Performances are at 7 p.m.

April 3, 4, 10 and 11; the El Rio Center Amphitheater, 1390 W.

PLAY MARATHON. Third Street Kids, a performing arts company
designed to provide education, training and experience in the
arts to children, seeks scripts for their One-Act Play Marathon,
April 20 through 26. Plays are to be 40 to 60 minutes long, and
will be presented by a wide variety of organizations including
professional, semi-professional and high-school drama clubs. There
is a $50 entry fee for all scripts; fee is refundable if script
is not accepted. Third Street Kids also seeks theatre professionals
