CHILDREN'S EASTER DANCE. River of Life Assembly of God.
4108 E. North St. A Time To Dance studios presents Resurrection,
a medley of modern dance, jazz and ballet presented by an all-ages
dance troupe in celebration of the Easter holiday. Performance

DANCES ON THE HARDWOOD. UA Centennial Hall. 1020 E. University
Blvd. The UA School of Music and Dance presents Dances on the
Hardwood, featuring the UA Dance Ensemble and faculty choreography,
guest artists, and performer Walter Kennedy. Performances are
at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3. Tickets are

LOS MUÑEQUITOS DE MATANZAS. UA Centennial Hall.
1020 E. University Blvd. UA Presents brings Afro-Cuban drummers
and dancers to Tucson with Los Muñequitos de Matanzas,
a performance preserving the spiritual traditions of West Africa
through song and dance. An uninterrupted, one-hour matinee is
offered at 2 p.m., followed by a full-length performance at 7:30
p.m. on Sunday, April 5. Choreographer Barbara Williams offers
a free discussion of Afro-Cuban music and dance 45 minutes prior
to each performance. Tickets range from $10 to $20 for the matinee,
$15 to $24 for the evening performance, with discounts for students,
faculty and children under 18. Tickets are available at the Centennial

LA TANIA FLAMENCO. TCC Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. Southwest
Dance presents world class Flamenco talent, La Tania Flamenco,
at 8 p.m. Friday, April 3. Tickets range from $18 to $28, with

AFRICAN DANCE. Learn the movements of dance from Guinea,
Senegal, Nigeria and Afro-Brazilian and Cuban regions with teacher
Denise Hawthorne Bey. You'll also learn the intricacies of the
music, and the traditional songs and their meanings. Classes meet
at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Cost is $10 general, $8 for students, and
$5 for kids grades K through 12. The location of the classes has

AUDITION NOTICE. The Isis Dance Theater Company is holding
auditions for intermediate to advanced ballet, jazz and/or modern
dancers over age 30 for forthcoming fall and spring productions.
The company is also looking for actors and singers over age 30
for an original, one-act musical production. Auditions are by
appointment only, and will continue until all positions are filled.

ECSTATIC TRANCE DANCE. The Little Temple Community Healing
Arts Institute. 721 N. Second Ave. Get ready for energy, peace
and movement on Sunday evenings with Ecstatic Trance Dancing,
a smoke- and alcohol-free evening of movement and music from 6:30
to 8:30 p.m. Sundays, April 12 and 26. Dress comfortably for a

FOLK DANCE FEST. The Tucson International Folk Dancers
are holding a three-day festival of dance and workshops Friday
through Sunday, April 3 through 5. Festival highlights include
Greek dances taught by Kaloyanides Graziosi. Registration is at
7 p.m. Friday, with a dance party and cultural talk from 7:30
to 10 p.m. Two dance workshops are held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
on Saturday, with a dance party from 7 to 10 p.m. Cost of each
event is $8. Sunday's picnic and dance is from noon to 4 p.m.,

a series of four multi-media presentations led by Gray Montague,
