Listings BENEFIT FOR BORDER RIGHTS. Catalina United Methodist Church. 2700 E. Speedway Blvd. Barbara Kingsolver, Russell Banks and Martin Espada read from their works as a benefit for Derechos Humanos/Arizona Border Rights Project at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 14. BENEFIT FOR SOUTHWEST CENTER. Zenith Center. 330 E. Seventh St. 623-5252, ext. 303. Folk singer, author and environmental activist Katie Lee performs a benefit concert for the Southwest Center for Biological Diversity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 12. Tickets are $7, with refreshments provided.

BURN BUSTER BLAST. Foothills Mall. 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd. The Northwest Fire/Rescue presents this day of fun and education for young and old with puppet shows, face painting, BMX stunt riders and more, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 13.

CIRCUS HOLLYWOOD. Tucson Rodeo Grounds. The Sabbar Shrine Temple presents Circus Hollywood, two hours of fast-moving, star-filled performers in three rings, with 22 display events. Performances are at 4 and 7 p.m. Friday, March 12; 10:30 a.m., 2:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 13; and 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 14. Tickets are $10, $6 for children 11 and under. FARMERS' MARKET. St. Philip's Plaza, River Road and Campbell Avenue. Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., more than 20 vendors sell fresh produce, teas, honey, jams, lemon curd, bread, smoked beef and other homestyle products.

FLANDRAU SCIENCE CENTER. UA campus. 621-STAR. Brain Awareness Week is March 15 through 21. Special presentations will be offered throughout the week, from 10 a.m. to noon. Two lectures on brain research meet from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, March 15. Dr. Geoffrey Ahern presents Dementias: Insight into the Disordered Brain, and Dr. Audrey Holland presents Aphasia: When Brain Damage Disrupts Language. Exhibit admission is $3, $2 for children 14 and under, or free with a theater ticket purchase. Telescope viewing is free. Daytime exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday, and evening hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. FOOD FAIR. Visit Plaza Palomino, on the corner of Fort Lowell and Swan roads, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturdays for their gourmet food fairs. MIDDLE EASTERN FILM FESTIVAL. UA Gallagher Theatre. The UA Center for Middle Eastern Studies presents four films from Egypt, Israel, Iran and Tunisia. ST. PATRICK'S DAY. "Ancient Ireland" comes to life with the 12th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17. The parade starts at 17th Street and Sixth Avenue, winding its way through downtown. The all-day festival takes place in Armory Park. Call 797-9431 for information.

ULTIMATE TOY SHOW. Pima County Fairgrounds. 622-6711. Check out the latest in toys, hot rods and custom cars from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 13; and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 14.
