Tickets are now available for celebrated string ensemble No Strings Attached, performing at 8 p.m. Friday, October 18, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 4831 E. 22nd St. Tucson's own Arm & Hammer will warm up the stage. Campbell Ave. The Tucson Jazz Society continues the Plaza Suite Fall Jazz series at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 12, with Bay Area vocalist Kitty Margolis accompanied by the Jeff Haskell Trio. BROWN BAG CONCERTS. Enjoy lunchtime tunes Tucson Arts District style every Tuesday through Thursday. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. October 15, hear the sounds of The Entertainers, Patty and Tom Chestnut, at the gazebo in La Placita Plaza. The Blue Monks jazz up the Main Library plaza from noon to 1 p.m. October 16; and Bill Ganz plays classical guitar from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 17 at the gazebo in La Placita Plaza. SUNDAE JAZZ. Reid Park DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center. Prepare to boogie! The Tucson Jazz Society presents Jazz Sundae XIX, beginning at noon Sunday, October 13. You'll hear performances by Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band, the Tucson Jazz Orchestra with composer Neal Finn, the Tucson Latin Jazz Orchestra, Jazzberry Jam, Carmela Ramirez y Más! and the 36th Army Band Jazz Combo. This 34-voice chorus will perform works by Leonard Bernstein, Billy Joel, Samuel Barber and more. Concert also includes Horses Moving the Wind, a new composition by Jay Vosk. CALL TO MUSICIANS. The PCC Community Wind Ensemble seeks musicians wishing to improve their reading and playing skills. Brass and percussionists are especially encouraged to join.
