BISBEE CABARET. The 55 Main Gallery hosts an informal Coffee House "Cabaret Unplugged" from 8 to 10 p.m. every Friday. This free, open mike event provides musicians, poets, vocalists, entertainers and listeners with a relaxed atmosphere. Format is acoustic. Call (520) 432-4694 to reserve performance time slot and for information. CALL TO MUSICIANS. The PCC Commuity Wind Ensemble seeks musicians wishing to improve their reading and playing skills. A love of music is all that's required to perform with the Foothills Phil, a community intergenerational orchestra conducted by Laszlo Veres. Musicians of all ages and abilities are invited to participate with rehearsals from 6:45 to 9 p.m. Thursdays at Catalina Foothills High School, 4300 E. Sunrise Drive. The Grimaldi Strings, a mandolin orchestra focusing on Italian music, seeks those versed in the mandolin, mandola and guitar. Rehearsals are Thursday afternoons. The Desert Dove School of Music offers a plethora of music classes for students of all ages and abilities for the keyboard, recorder, guitar, singing, band and more. Tickets are now on sale for the Opera Guild of Southern Arizona's annual scholarship luncheon honoring its founding president and grand dame of Arizona Opera, Ruth Booth.
