ARMORY PARK TOUR. Visitors to Tucson's historic Armory Park neighborhood can nose around the turn-of-the-century Victorian- and Sonoran-style abodes downtown during the 22nd annual home tour from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 6. Tickets are $6, available in front of the Tucson Children's Museum, 200 S. Sixth Ave., on the day of the event. Funds raised from the tour will be used by the neighborhood to help preserve the historic integrity of the area through graffiti abatement and traffic control, as well as provide scholarships for local students. Call 629-0270 for information. ARTS IN THE PARK. The Tucson Parks and Recreation Department present the Reid Park Arts and Crafts Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 6. There will be hundreds of artisans displaying unique, handcrafted works throughout the day, as well as delicious ethnic food delights. Meyer Ave. The Primavera Foundation, a non-profit organization assisting Tucson's homeless and low-income populations, presents its sixth annual Bowl Me Over auction from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 6. More than 40 local artists have donated special, handcrafted ceramic bowls, weavings, wood carvings and more for a silent auction benefiting Primavera's programs. There will be live music, wonderful food, a raffle and the unveiling of Primavera's new cookbook, Bowl of Noodles, filled with recipes from Tucson's finest chefs. It's time to sign up for the Second Annual Downtown Holiday Parade presented by the Downtown Arts and Business Alliance, the City of Tucson, the Arts District Partnership and the Tucson Children's Museum. The Brewster Center, a shelter for battered women and their children, sponsors a Speak Out from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 9. Battered and formerly battered women and their supporters are invited to speak out through poetry, story, song or statement.
