Sporting Chance Youth Basketball is now accepting registration for youth basketball teams, with players between the ages of 8 and 16, for the Summer Slam III tournament August 16 through 18 at Bear Down Gym on the UA campus. The Tucson Toros, the Baked Pueblo's own Triple-A ballclub, continues the race for the Pacific Coast League crown on Thursday, July 11, in the first of a four-game series against the Salt Lake City Buzz. On Monday, July 15, The Toros begin a series against the Edmonton Trappers. First pitch is 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $3 to $6. Free tickets are available for Monday night games at all Circle K stores. On Wednesday nights, hot dogs are a mere 25 cents; and every Thursday, beer and soft drinks are only $1 until 9 p.m. Call 325-2621 for tickets and information. WAY TO GOAL.
