On July 15, dedicated Mayan volunteer medics will head for indigenous communities in the remote highlands of Quiché in Guatemala, loaded with medical supplies, seeds and as many toothbrushes as they can bring. At 10 a.m. Sunday, July 14, the send off begins with a Solemn Mass followed by a traditional Guatemalan Meal at 11:45 a.m. Suggested donation for the meal is $5, $3 for children. The Arizona Institute of Wine and Food, a non-profit organization providing scholarships for culinary arts students, presents a Wine Country Cruise with Donna Nordin, chef/owner of Café Terra Cotta, departing in mid-November 1996.
