SPECIAL EVENTS Events This Week BLUE MOON BASH. The second annual Tucson Museum of Art block party, Once In A Blue Moon Bash: Part 2, starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 8. Visiting with the animals at the zoo is fun, but indulging with free ice cream is even more cool! Chill out from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Reid Park Zoo's annual Ice-Cream Social. Sneak a peek at the zoo's upcoming South American exhibit over a double-scoop. Regular zoo admission applies, but ice-cream, activities and parking are free. Beat the heat with new summer hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Admission is $3.50 for adults, $2.50 for seniors, 75 cents for children 5 to 14 and free for children 4 and under. It's the Tucson Mega Lowrider Show sponsored by Camaradas Bike Club at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 9. There will be a grand prize drawing for an award-winning lowriding cruiser bike, t-shirts, autographed CDs from Howe Gelb and more.
