Ave. The Tucson Business Coalition sponsors Business Expo '98,
featuring "Hands On/How To" workshops for entrepreneurs
of businesses large and small. The expo provides networking, business

CAFÉ CULTURAL. La Indita. 2332 S. Sixth Ave. As
a prelude to Mother's Day celebrate the grand opening of Café
Cultural at a festival to give tribute to the indigenous women
of Chiapas beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9. The festival
includes videos and talks about the women of Chiapas, Mexican
food, paper flower making and other children's activities, a ceremony
to honor the victims of Acteal, Deer Dancers and live music. Call

CHILI AND BEER. WWII Hangars. Pima Air and Space Museum.
6000 E. Valencia Road. Tates culinary treats from twelve area
restaurants, as well as home-made chili prepared by The Chili
Heads of Arizona and choose from over 200 specialty beer at Flight
Line Tasting and benefit for the construction of the Challenger
Learning Center. Admission is $25 and includes a one-pint tasting
glass and all food and beverage samples. Participants must be

CLUB KINETIC. Mat Bevel Institute. 530 Stone Ave. Witness
the theatrical spectacle of Club Kinetic, the exotic vaudevillian
disco circus staged by performance artist Mat Bevel and company,

DESERT DANCE PARTY. Catalina State Park. Head to the western
slopes of the Santa Catalinas from 3 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May
9, for fun food and dancing at the Desert Dance Party and BBQ,
with music by the Titan Valley Warheads, Black Leather Zydeco
and Los Culturos Hermanos. Admission is limited to 300. Advance
tickets are $12 each or $20 per couple, $14 each and $24 per couple
at the gate with discounts for TFTM and KXCI members and children
under 16 free. Overnight camping and a pancake breakfast are available.

Political Satirist Mark Russell performs "An Evening With
Mark Russell" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12. Tickets are $30

MOTHER DAUGHTER FASHION. Archer Center. 1665 S. La Cholla

Community House sponsor a mother and daughter fashion show and

MEZO-AMERICAN FESTIVAL. El Presidio Park. Celebrate the
food, music and folklore of Mezo-America at a free festival from
5 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10. The cultural showcase
features Panamanian, Nicaraguan, Guatamalan and Mexican food booths,
music by the Nostros Group and others, the crafts of local artists

PHARIE TALES. The Valley of the Moon. 2544 E. Allen Road,
north of Prince Road, east of Tucson Boulevard. Children and adults
alike will enjoy Phractured Pharie Tales, in which the
Valley's roaming players reenact scenes from pharie tale phavorites.
Performances run Thursday through Saturay through May 16. Tours
leave the gate every 30 minutes between 7 and 9 p.m. Admission
is $5 for adults, $3 for kids 7 to 12, and free for members and
children

SOLAR SATURDAY. Enjoy a day of fun in the sun at Catalina
State Park at the 16th annual Solar Potluck Exhibition from 9
a.m. to sundown Saturday, May 9. The event features solar activities
and demonstrations, including a solar cooked potluck dinner served
at 5 p.m. Admission is to the park $4 per carload and the event

WAREHOUSE WALKING TOURS. Hotel Congress Lobby. 311 E. Congress
St. The Tucson Arts District Partnership offers tours of the historic
downtown warehouse district from 9 to 11 a.m. the second Saturday
of the month, through May 9. This guided tour covers a one-mile
area, and includes an overview of the area's history, with brief
visits to several artists' studios. Reservation by 5 p.m. the
