Michael Brescia discusses Mexico's ecclesiastical power struggles
and contemporary politics, and their effect on the study of history,
in Theft in the Archives, Graffiti on the Walls: The Politics

experiences and observations as a member of a Borderlinks Delegation
to Latin America in El Salvador Today, presented at the

FAMILY DAY. The UA Center for Creative Photography, south
end of the pedestrian underpass on Speedway east of Park Avenue,
presents Tales and Poetry of the Sea for All Ages, featuring
storyteller Ron Lancaster and Tohono O'odham poet and UA linguistics
prof Ophelia Zepeda. This companion program to the Sea of Change

FOLDED SPIRALS. UA Student Union. Attention teachers of
young children: Going in Circles and Loving it! is a hands
on workshop teaching the Folded Spiral method for teaching basic

JOESLER TOUR. R. Brooks Jeffery, Curator of the Arizona
Architectural Archives, leads a tour of Tucson landmarks designed
by one of the city's most prolific architects, Swiss-born Josias
Joesler. Featured landmarks on the tour include Broadway Village
and St. Phillips in the Hills Episcopal Church. The tour leaves
from Hacienda del Sol at 11 a.m. and returns at 3 p.m. Sunday,

ZAPATIATAS ARE COMING. Spend an evening with Cecilia Rodriguez,
U.S. Representative of the Zapatistas, as she explains the current
crisis in Chiapas, Mexico, and the role of the U.S. in recent
events. She presents The Zapatistas Are Coming at 7:30
p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at the Harvill Building on the UA campus.
She repeats the lecture in Spanish at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26,
