FACULTY ARTISTS SERIES. UA Crowder Hall. Patrick Nehrer,
string bassist, performs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 1. Admission
is $10, $8 for UA employees and $5 for seniors and students.

George Winston performs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2. Tickets

KRONOS QUARTET. Centennial Hall. 1020 E. University Blvd.
The Kronos Quartet performs their 25th anniversary concert at
8 p.m. on Saturday, January 30. Tickets range from $16 to $28,
with discounts for UA faculty, staff, students with ID and children
under 18, available at the Centennial box office.
SENIOR VOICE RECITAL. UA Crowder Hall. Caroline Liebert,
soprano, performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30.

FOOTHILLS PHIL. Catalina Foothills High School Band Room.
4300 E. Sunrise Drive. 577-5304. The Phil begins its winter/spring
1999 session on Thursday, January 28. This Intergenerational Orchestra
is open to musicians without an audition. There is a registration
fee of $30.
FOOTHILLS WOMEN'S CHORUS. A group of women who love to
sing, no auditions required, meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in
the Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road.
Spring programs include Broadway tunes, pop music and old favorites,
performed in front of various organizations and retirement communities.

STRING PLAYERS WANTED. The Civic Orchestra of Tucson, a
60-piece volunteer symphony orchestra starting its 24th season,
needs violin, viola, cello, and especially bass players. Come
to a rehearsal and get acquainted at
7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Tucson Jewish Community Center. Call
