TITLE CUT WORKSHOP. Wilmot Branch Library. 530 N. Wilmot
Road. 791-4627. Middle and high-school students are invited to
drop in for this creativity workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday,
January 30. Participants create a personalized CD insert using
poetry, lyrics, collage and photography. Registration is necessary.
TUCSON CHILDREN'S MUSEUM. 200 S. Stone Ave. 792-9958. Enjoy
the Coral Reef Special from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday,
January 30. Learn about the Titanic and icebergs from 1:30 to
3 p.m. Sunday, January 31. Admission is $5, $4 for seniors and

T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST. Kids in grades K through sixth
are encouraged to enter the 1999 Earth Day Festival T-Shirt Contest.
The theme is "Endangered Species of the Southwest."
A $50 U.S. Savings Bond will be awarded to the winner. The designer's
full name, complete address, phone number, school, and grade should
be attached to the back of the art work. Entries should be mailed

WISDOMSEEKING. Tucson Children's Museum. 200 S.
Sixth Ave. 792-9985. Join the Wisdomseekers, middle schoolers
teaching the younger public crafts from various cultures, from
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Regular fall hours are 9:30
a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday;
and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Last admission is 30 minutes before
closing. Museum admission is $3 for children 2 to 16; $5 adults,
and $4 seniors, with the third Sunday of every month free for
all. "After school special" admission from 3 to 5 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday is $2 per person.
YOUTH CENTER. 35 E. Toole Ave. The Pima Prevention Partnership
and T/PAC sponsor the new Toole Avenue Youth Center, housing programs
such as ArtWORKS at Toole, Pima County Teen Court, and the Full

Parents' Corner
CHILDREN TO CHILDREN. 3922 N. Mountain Ave. Children to
Children is a grief support center for children and families who
have experienced the death of someone they love. They provide
support services in a caring environment, and currently have space
available in their groups. They are also currently looking for
volunteers to become support group facilitators. Call 322-9155
for information.
PARENTING 101. Compass Health Care. 1230 E. Broadway. The
Tucson Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence presents the
following free classes to give families an informed edge: BASICS
(Building A Strong Independent Child) provides classes, activities,
discussion and support for parents and their children, infancy
through adolescence, with the goal of learning to help children
become healthy, substance-free, caring individuals. Classes meet
from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, and from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursdays. Enrollment

PARENTING SUPPORT. The Give A Parent Support Group (G.A.P.S.)
needs mentors to make home visits to first-time moms. Participants
should be experienced, loving parents with the ability to donate
one to two hours per week. Training and on-going support for volunteers
