BALLROOM MAGIC. TCC Leo Rich Theatre. 260 S. Church Ave. 791-4266. The Brigham Young University Ballroom Dance Team performs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 23. These world-champion dancers perform ballroom and Latin styles of dancing with romantic style and elegance. Tucson's own Desert Terrace Dance Club will open the show. BALLET AUDITIONS. The School of American Ballet holds auditions for the 1996 Summer Course in New York City for Tucson area teens ages 12 to 18 years on Tuesday, January 23, at Ballet Arts, 200 S. Tucson Blvd. Dancers 12 to 14 years audition from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with 15- to 18-year-olds from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Auditions are open only to intermediate and advanced students who will be at least 12 years old by July, 1996. A $10 application fee is required at the time of the audition, and students must register one hour in advance of their audition time. Call Ballet Arts at 623-3373 for information. SQUARE DANCE FESTIVAL. The 48th annual Southern Arizona Square and Round Dance and Clogging Festival hits the floors of the TCC, 260 S. Church Ave., January 18 through 20. Singles and couples of all skill levels are welcome. Enjoy theme-dress occasions with a large, romantic, decorated ballroom to match. Cost is $7, $5 for members.
