Frida Kahlo LECTURE. Sarah Lowe, independent curator, art historian and author, presents Frida Kahlo's Diaries at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 25, in the UA College of Architecture auditorium, located at the south end of the pedestrian underpass on Speedway east of Park Avenue. Lowe will address the Mexican artist's construction of identity in her personal diaries, which have recently been reprinted. Free admission. Call 621-7570 for information. ART LECTURE. A free lecture by Marilyn Zeitlin, entitled The Reflecting Pool, meets at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 18, in the UA College of Architecture auditorium. Zeitlin, Curator for the ASU Art Museum, will discuss Bill Viola: Buried Secrets, an exhibit of multi-media video installations she curated for the 1995 Venice Biennial. The Associates of Art History and the UA Art Department host a bus tour of Tucson's murals at 10 a.m. Sunday, January 28, leaving from the Sosa-Carrillo-Fremont House parking lot, 151 S. Granada Ave. Jane Hallet, a specialist on local mural art, will narrate the tour. Proceeds benefit the UA Associates of Art History, and are partially tax-deductible.
