ALUMNI SERIES CONCERT. UA Crowder Hall. Southeast corner
of Park Avenue and Speedway, in the Fine Arts Complex. Soprano
Beatrice Berger performs at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 17. Admission
is $10, $8 for UA faculty and staff and $5 for seniors and students.

ARIZONA OPERA. TCC Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. Opening
January 15 and continuing through January 17: Aida, featuring
the Phoenix Symphony and Ballet Arizona. Performances are Friday
and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets range

BALALAIKA CONCERTS. PCC Center for the Arts. 2202 W. Anklam
Road. The Arizona Balalaika Orchestra, with the Kalinka Russian
Dancers, are joined by the Sons of Orpheus at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday,
January 16, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 17. Tickets are $10,

TUCSON PHILHARMONIA YOUTH ORCHESTRA. Mountain View High

presents a family concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 17. Admission

Music Scholarship Fund.

AUDITION NOTICE. The Arizona Repertory Singers are auditioning

FOOTHILLS WOMEN'S CHORUS. A group of women who love to
sing, no auditions required, meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in
the Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road.
Spring programs include Broadway tunes, pop music and old favorites,
performed in front of various organizations and retirement communities.

60-piece volunteer symphony orchestra starting its 24th season,
needs violin, viola, cello, and especially bass players. Come
