percussionist and band leader Pete Escovedo joins the Tucson Latin

auditions for sopranos and tenors, on January 12 and 19. To schedule

FOOTHILLS WOMEN'S CHORUS. A group of women who love to
sing, no auditions required, meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in
the Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road.
Spring programs include Broadway tunes, pop music and old favorites,
performed in front of various organizations and retirement communities.

STRING PLAYERS WANTED. The Civic Orchestra of Tucson, a
60-piece volunteer symphony orchestra starting its 24th season,
needs violin, viola, cello, and especially bass players. Come
to a rehearsal and get acquainted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the
