its 1998 "Art Talk" series beginning Monday, January
5, with Spanish Colonial Art of Mexico, an examination
of 300 years of Spanish presence in Mexico as found in art, architecture
and crafts. And on Thursday, January 8, the Art Talk series continues
with: Public Art: Not Just for Pigeons. All talks are from

EDUCATION INFLATION. The Tucson Institute and the Common
Sense Forum present: The Affordability of Higher Education:
Is the American Dream out of Sight? From 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday,
January 3, at the Tucson Main Library, moderator Robert J. Bushkin
will discuss what the high cost of education will mean to the
individual, and to America. Bring a friend. Parking and attendance

CONTEMPORARY CO-HOUSING. Kathryn Mc Camant, architect and
co-author of Co-housing: A Contemporary Approach to Housing
Ourselves, gives a free informational seminar titled Co-housing
in Tucson from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, at the
Pima Friends Meeting Hall, 931 N. Fifth Ave. Parking is available

Los Descendientes del Presidio de Tucson, with classes at 1:30
p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through January 30. Classes include:

Isles Court Records and Probates, Introduction to Genealogy, U.S.
Newspapers and Directories, Tracking Immigrants, and more.
