Jean and Fernando Romero play original blues, jazz and country
at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 27. The Arm and Hammer Folk Duo
take the stage at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 28.
THE BIRD AND THE BEAR CONCERT. Matt Bevel Institute. 530
N. Stone Ave. Zeitgeist presents improvisers Mary Redhouse, vocalist,
and Lee Gardner, bassist, at
8 p.m. Wednesday, December 30. Admission is $5 at the door.

BLUEGRASS JAM. The Desert Bluegrass Association presents
a bluegrass jam session at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, December 26, at
Pizza Hut, 2943 N. Campbell Ave. All are invited to play, sing
along, or just listen and enjoy this open jam session. Call 743-7086

FOOTHILLS WOMEN'S CHORUS. A group of women who love to
sing, no auditions required, meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in
the Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road.
Spring programs include Broadway tunes, pop music and old favorites,
performed in front of various organizations and retirement communities.

STRING PLAYERS WANTED. The Civic Orchestra of Tucson, a
60-piece volunteer symphony orchestra starting its 24th season,
needs violin, viola, cello, and especially bass players. Come
to a rehearsal and get acquainted at
7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Tucson Jewish Community Center. Call
