The Friends of the San Pedro River, Federal Bureau of Land Management, and the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area team up to offer a series of fall hikes. All hikes will be led by a trained guide, and are a great opportunity to learn about local history, animals, plants, and birds along the San Pedro River. On November 15, visit two sites to observe examples of Hohokam Indian rock-art. This strenuous, five-mile hike will take you to the Magnificent Seven Hill and Thorn Hill. Wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt, as you'll walk through dense brush. Hikers are asked to bring a minimum of one-quart of water, food, hat, sunglasses, binoculars and a camera, if desired. The Tucson Volkssport Klub announces two non-competitive events: a 6/11 K walk and a 30 K bike ride on Saturday, November 15, in Agua Caliente County Park.
