ARIZONA AIDS QUILT. The One In Ten Repertory Theatre of Tucson hosts a series of workshops for the conception and creation of panels to be displayed during their production of Remember My Name, by David Lemos. Panels gathered will be sent to the Names Project in San Francisco, where they will be joined to the National Quilt after opening night. Cat owners and animal lovers alike are invited to show their support for Arizona's only non-profit, no-kill and no-cage cat shelter, Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, October 27, at 5278 E. 21st St. Donations of Iams and Science Diet cat foods are welcome. Celebrate the season at the fifth annual Arizona Harvest Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 27. There will be a farmer's market, cooking demonstrations, pumpkin painting contest, puppet show, petting zoo, live entertainment and more than 100 raffle items up for grabs. Get the skinny on the basics of planning a festival at a Festival Workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, October 25, at the Tucson/Pima Arts Council, 240 N. Stone Ave. Speaker Dian Magie will cover budgeting, sponsorship, marketing, volunteer recruitment, emergencies, licenses and much more. Registration is $10, $15 for non-residents of Pima County. STAIR CLIMBER. Stretch out those hamstrings at the annual Bisbee Stair Climb. Beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 26, the serious and the curious gather at the base of the Cochise County Courthouse at Tombstone Canyon. "Climbers" are encouraged to obtain pledges for penny a stair, with proceeds going towards the repair and maintenance of the several thousand feet of stairs in historic Bisbee.
