SPORTS Participatory BASKETBALL CALL. Registration is open for the seventh annual Hoop-La 3-on-3 Street Basketball Tournament, on October 5 and 6, on the corner of Seventh Street and Fifth Avenue. Spectator BATTER UP. The Tucson Toros, the Baked Pueblo's own Triple-A ballclub, play their last homestand of the season beginning Thursday, August 29, against the Phoenix Firebirds. On Friday, August 30, they start a final four-game series against Los Vegas. First pitch is 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $3 to $6. Free tickets are available for Monday night games at all Circle K stores. On Wednesday nights, hot dogs are a mere 25 cents; and every Thursday, beer and soft drinks are only $1 until 9 p.m. Call 325-2621 for tickets and information. REV IT UP.
