OUTDOORSFUN AT CORONADO. At 9 a.m. Saturday, August 31, take a Coronado Cave tour. Bring along one flashlight per person to explore this natural limestone cave. The hike is .75 miles on a moderately strenuous trail. No reservations are necessary; just bring yourself in sturdy clothes and shoes, wear lots of sunscreen and don't forget drinking water! Meet at the Visitor Center. Group meets in the picnic area. The Memorial's Visitor Center is located in Montezuma Canyon, five miles west of Highway 92 (15 miles south of Sierra Vista, 21 miles west of Bisbee). Tours depart at 8 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; Art in the Park tours, docent-guided looks at gallery exhibits, are at 11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 2 p.m. Sunday. SEE THE TREES. Visit the Arboretum in Flagstaff between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, with guided tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. weekends through September. Pack a picnic lunch and cool off among the many garden displays; see endangered plants and animals; or just relax under a pine. Admission is $3, free for those 18 and under.
