Visit the Arizona Folklore Preserve, and enjoy music by "Arizona's Official Balladeer," Dolan Ellis, at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, August 9 and 10. In addition to performing, Ellis' photo exhibit Arizona Tall Tales, Lost Trails and Heros will be on display. Seating is very limited and reservations are required. Bring a bag lunch and take a musical break at the Slonaker Series lunchtime concerts from noon to 2 p.m. Series continues Wednesday, August 13. AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT. The Arizona Repertory Singers seek sopranos, tenors and basses. Auditions are Tuesday evenings, August 12, 19 and 26. FOOTHILLS WOMEN'S CHORUS. The Foothills Women's Chorus seeks new members for its upcoming 1997-'98 season. Auditions are not required, just a love of singing. Rehearsals are fun and relaxed, with an emphasis on musical quality. Performances include December holiday and spring programs for various organizations and retirement communities. The Tucson Goodtime Singers are currently auditioning singers for their women's four-part harmony. Call 790-1813 for information. SONS OF ORPHEUS. Northminster Presbyterian Church. 2450 E. All men, regardless of musical experience, are invited to raise their voices and join the Sons of Orpheus, a nonsectarian, not-for-profit chorus comprised of men from all walks of life. Upcoming performance opportunities include collaborations with the UA Balalaika Orchestra, performing at Tohono Chul Park, the San Xavier Mission, and support performances for organizations such as the Tucson Shalom House and Casa de los Niños.
