CLASSY COOK. America's First Lady of Cuisine, Julia Child, celebrates her 85th birthday on Friday, August 15. Chefs and gourmands alike can celebrate locally with Cooking With Julia At Culinary Concepts, a demonstration class of Julia's favorite recipes, followed by a sit-down dinner. Menu includes: Moules Farcies, Pissaladiere Gargantua, Terrine de Sole aux Trois Mousses, Boeuf à la Mode, and Bombe aux Trois Chocolats. Cost is $55 ($25 is tax-deductible). Seating is very limited. The Tucson Planning Council for the Homeless needs donations of unused or new water bottles, sunscreen, summer hats and sunglasses to help Tucsonans on the street fight the summer heat. WOMEN'S WELLNESS CAMP. The YMCA of Tucson invites women
to unwind and re-charge at its annual Women's Wellness Camp, October
16 through 19. This weekend getaway at the Triangle Y Ranch Camp
near Oracle, Arizona, offers women an opportunity to get away
from the frantic daily pace and enjoy swimming, horseback riding,
massage, aqua fitness, stress management seminars, facials, journal
writing, mountain biking and hiking--as few or as many activities
as desired. Discounts are available for YMCA members and non-members
registering before September 15. Financial assistance is available
