BALE DE BAHIA. TCC Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. Afro-Brazalian
masters Bale Folklorico de Bahia perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, February
21. They perform a repertory based on "Bahian" folkloric
dances of African origin, including slave dances, samba, celebrations
of Carnival and capoera, an acrobatic martial art form. Tickets
range from $18 to $28, with half-off discounts for seniors/students/children.

TENTH STREET DANCEWORKS. PCC Proscenium Theatre. 2202 W.
Anklam Road. Local modern favorites Tenth Street Danceworks will
be joined by San Diego's McCaleb Dance in three performances Friday
through Sunday, February 20 through 22. Performances are at 8
p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 7 p.m. Sunday. Advance tickets

with their current exhibit Traveling Abroad, Apparel Gallery
presents an evening of dance and performance art Saturday, February
21. The performance includes something for everyone from belly-dancing
to performance art, featuring Seattle artist Sarah J. Allen. Performances

AFRICAN DANCE. 121 E. Seventh St. Learn the movements of
dance from Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria and Afro-Brazilian and Cuban
regions with teacher Denise Hawthorne Bey. You'll also learn the
intricacies of the music, and the traditional songs and their
meanings. Classes meet at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Cost is $10 general,

Beach Ballet Arts Center announces auditions for their annual
