DOWNTOWN SATURDAY. This month's Downtown Saturday Night celebrates African American History Month on February 20. Wild Knights Band and APB Singers perform from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ronstadt Transit Center, Sixth Avenue and Congress Street. Hear Amy and Entourage and The Nunns featuring James Pickens from 7 to 10 p.m. on Arizona Avenue south of Congress Street. Stroll on down to the Fifth Street Stage on Fourth Avenue (in front of Magpies) for Tommy Tucker from 7 to 10 p.m. Stop by Winsett Park, between Seventh and Eight Streets, to listen to gospel music from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

HOLOCAUST CONFERENCE. The UA Hillel Foundation continues this seventh annual conference through February 19. Call 624-6561 for more information.

FOOD FAIR. Visit Plaza Palomino, on the corner of Fort Lowell and Swan roads, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturdays for their gourmet food fairs. This Saturday, February 20, Sule Greg Wilson dramatizes African culture in a series of music sets. There are more than 45 vendors with organic veggies and fruits, breads, salmon, Arizona emu, fresh-cut flowers and lots of tasty samples. Call 795-1177 for information.

GOURMET ART MARKETPLACE. St. Philip's Plaza Courtyard, River Road and Campbell Avenue. Edibles and kitchen-art collectibles by more than 20 Arizona artists are on display from 1 to 5:30 p.m. every Thursday. FARMERS' MARKETS. Two Farmers' Markets take place on the weekend: From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, vendors sell fresh produce, teas, honey, jams, lemon curd and natural beef at the Foothills Mall, La Cholla Boulevard and Ina Road; and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays, more than 20 vendors hawk similar wares and treats at St. Philip's Plaza, at River Road and Campbell Avenue.

FLANDRAU SCIENCE CENTER. UA campus. 621-STAR. Planetarium shows for February include In Search of New Worlds, The Invisible Universe, Under Arizona Skies and more. Exhibit admission is $3, $2 for children 14 and under, or free with a theater ticket purchase. Telescope viewing is free. Daytime exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday, and evening hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. LESBIAN LOOKS FILM SERIES. UA Modern Languages Building auditorium. The seventh annual Lesbian Looks Film and Video Series presents two free evenings of movies on February 19 and 27. This Friday, a collection of shorts screen at 7:30 p.m. Call 621-1239 for information.

VALLEY OF THE MOON. 2544 E. Allen Road. 323-1331. Step into fantasy land on a Quest for the Golden Key to Happiness, a walk-through theatrical tour on Friday and Saturday, February 19 and 20. Tours leave the gate every 30 minutes between 7 and 9 p.m. This is a free show, with donations accepted for the restoration of this Arizona Historic District.

VIVA ARIZONA! TCC Music Hall. 260 S. Church Ave. 544-9543. Ballet Folkl--rico Arizona presents this fifth annual musical and cultural extravaganza, February 22 through 24. Performances are at 10 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday, with two shows at 9:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Tickets are $15, $12 for seniors and $10 for children, available at the TCC and Dillard's box offices.

WALKING TOUR. Sosa-Carrillo-Frémont House. 151 S. Granada Ave. Enjoy this walking tour of Tucson's history, including more than 20 homes, sites, and buildings, from 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday.
