BOTANICAL GARDENS. Tucson Botanical Gardens. 2150 N. Alvernon
Way. Introduction to Tucson Gardening classes focus on
using drought-tolerant plants to colorful and low-maintenance
effect. Classes are from 9:30 a.m. to
11:30 a.m. the first Thursday and third Saturday of the month.
Cost is $5, which includes admission; or $3 for TBG members. Regular
admission to the gardens is $4, $3 for seniors, free for members
and children under age 12. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday

GARDENING DEMONSTRATION. The Pima County Cooperative Extension
offers free gardening workshops every Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the
Extension Garden Center, 4210 N. Campbell Ave., and again at 1
p.m. at the Wilmot Library, 530 N. Wilmot Road. Spring Vegetable
Gardening is the topic for Wednesday, February 17. Call 626-5161

GARDENING CLASSES. Community Gardens of Tucson offers classes
starting on Tuesday, February 16, at 4304 First Ave. Join the
Community Gardens for their weekly work party starting at 9 a.m.

N. Second Ave. Hydroponic Gardeners of Tucson meets the third
Wednesday of every month for a 6:30 p.m. social and 7 p.m. meeting.
