on Theology and Science present Dr. Arthur Peacocke of Exeter
College, Oxford University at 7 p.m. Friday, January 23. Peacocke's
lecture is titled Welcoming the Disguised Friend: Darwin and
Divinity.

QUICKIE HISTORY. Arizona Historical Society. 949 E. Second
St. Learn everything you've wanted to know about Tucson and Indian
history-- but didn't have time to study, with the Historical Society's
Quickie History series. On January 22 join Ann Parker for
"A Quickie History of Southwestern Indians." The program
will be repeated on January 24. On January 29, join Peter Booth
for "A Quickie History of Early Tucson." The program
will be repeated on January 31. Lectures begin at 8:30 a.m. On
Lectures are $20, $15 for AHS members; a continental breakfast
is included as well as an optional tour of the museum. Advanced

SCULPTOR SPEAK. UA Museum of Art, located on the southeast
corner of Park Avenue and Speedway. Internationally-known African
American sculptor Houston Conwill will lecture on his work at
12:30 p.m. Sunday, January 25. Conwill has been commissioned to
do numerous public art projects through the United States. His
works are also found in the New York Museum of Modern Art, the
Los Angeles County museum and the Schomberg Center in New York.
