Falling to Earth Ellen Bromberg STAFFPICK: Ellen Bromberg, an independent Tucson choreographer, staged a groundbreaking dance/video work, Falling to Earth, in May. With the help of an interactive computer technology called the "Intelligent Stage," the piece changed in each performance, with video and sound triggered by the disparate movements of the four dancers. For all its technological innovations, it was a dance about the visceral, about death and the body and identity. Falling to Earth was a profound work that moved more than one audience member to tears.
