Structure
Tucson Mall

READERS' PICK: Well, we can tell you what Structure definitely is not. Despite it's location in the Tucson Mall, and its scary proximity to places that would shamelessly stock parachute pants again if they were told they would sell, Structure is a more dour, low-key place. They're into what they call "Natural Elements" colors, which means--mostly--subdued greens, blues, teaks, and tans. The shelves are stocked with an array of heavy-stitched shirts in your stripes, solids and basic plaids; and pants that you can actually imagine yourself in without grimacing. It's like J. Crew without all the annoying pastels. Structure does right by the classic mainstays of fashion and taste, saving those of us who want to look good without having to pay attention to what we put on. At Structure, you can't go wrong. And be sure to check out their cool, geocentric mirrors! It's not every day you get to see yourself reflected in a rhombus.

READERS' POLL RUNNER-UP: Dillard's, three locations.

STAFF PICK: What we lack in fashion sense, we make up for by appreciating the fashion sense of others. And we know that if we ever had the desire to hang up our T-shirts and Tevas (which we don't anticipate happening before the End Days), we would immediately take all of our disposable income over to the newly expanded J. Kareiva, 303 E. Congress St. In the meantime, we hope you'll shop there for us.
