BOTANICAL GARDENS. The Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2150 N. Alvernon Way, are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The TBG nursery is open from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Saturday. Learn more about Arizona's native desert plants and their taste-a-bility during a three-week course entitled Hot, Sweet and Sticky--Wild Foods of the Desert, offered by the Arizona Archeological and Historical Society. Ethnobotanist Kevin Dahl, of Native Seeds/SEARCH, discusses mesquite, saguaro, cholla, wild greens and berries at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 8. Cost is $35, $25 for members.
