Workshop is open to all and includes hands-on experience with where and when to plant, garden bed preparation, plant care and harvesting, desert composting, growing plants for seeds, seed cleaning and storage and local gardening resources. Alvernon Way, is now open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. The TBG nursery is closed until October. Guided tours of the gardens are at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Saturday. Regular attractions include Birds and Gardening tours at 9 a.m. Tuesday; the Native Seeds/SEARCH mini-museum of ethnobotanical displays, and the TBG library. Pick up pointers on water-thrifty landscaping and gardening at Plant Selection and Design from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15. Reservations are required.
