WRITERS' WORKSHOP. Pima Community College's 10th annual Writers' Workshop, May 30 through June 1, offers the opportunity for experienced and beginning writers to talk with professional writers and agents, and to have their writing critiqued. Speakers this year include: Sheila Bender, John M. Daniel, Susan Daniel, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Nancy Mairs, Peter Meinke, Maia Wojciechowska Rodman, among others. Topics include Writing from Life Experiences: The Boundaries of Truth and Fiction; Rules and Tools for Writing Short Fiction; and Building Self-Confidence. The conference kicks off with a reception and reading by Sherman Russell at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Arizona Inn, 2200 E. Elm St. All other events will take place at the PCC West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road. Noncredit workshop fee is $65, $77 for two credit hours. Fee deadline is May 29.
