Tucson Architectural Landmarks ContestCast your vote in the UA's Architectural Landmarks Contest. By Margaret Regan TEST YOUR AESTHETICS against the taste of architects. A team of local architectural experts nominated the 10 buildings on our list. They're a nice mix of residential, public and commercial buildings, five dating from historic times, five from the post-war years. (None is less than 10 years old.) While members of the general public are picking their favorites, professionals from the American Institute of Architects will be voting for theirs. Select one building from each category, for a total of two buildings, circle the description on the ballot below, and mail this page to The Weekly by Friday, April 9. That gives you one more week to meander around town checking out architectural gems. Please be respectful of occupants' privacy. For more detailed information on the buildings, consult the article "Landmark Decisions" (Tucson Weekly, March 25, 1999). Send your ballot to the Tucson Weekly Architecture Contest, P.O. Box 2429, Tucson, AZ. 85702. Feel free to include additional comments or single out your own favorite buildings for praise. And remember, the deadline is Friday, April 9.
