TREECYCLING. The City of Tucson is recruiting volunteers to help direct traffic and accept Christmas trees to recycle into compost on Saturday, January 11, at the TREE-cycling Christmas tree drop-off sites. Residents may bring Old Tannenbaum to any Home Depot store between 8 a.m. and noon. Free bags with information on composting, recycling and other local environmental programs will be offered with each cut-tree donation. Call 791-5000 for information.

RECYCLING CENTERS. The following neighborhood drop-off centers are open 24 hours daily: Booth-Fickett Magnet School, 7240 E. Calle Arturo, and Morrow Education Center, 1010 E. 10th St. Some city and county landfills also have recycling centers. Call 791-5000 for hours and locations. Multi-material recycling facilities are located at Freedom Recycling, 1825 W. Price Road, near Roger and Romero roads. Call 696-0660 for hours.
