READERS' PICK: Never let it be said The Weekly doesn't go that extra mile for the straight scoop. We tested this pick by sending two of our regular contributors, hitherto not well acquainted, to The Shanty on a bona fide date. The results were stunning to say the least, and have caused us no end of inconvenience as we hadn't heard from either of them for a week. We just got a postcard from Aruba signed by both of them. It's sickeningly lovey-dovey and we won't test your intestinal fortitude by quoting it here. We still don't know what the magic is, but our new policy is that no unmarried staffers may enter The Shanty if they have any copy due.
