is the world's longest non-motorized parade, but true aficionados
agree that it's simply the best parade of any kind or any length
on the planet. We loved Michael Goodrich in a horse-drawn carriage;
the charros and their fabulous dancing horses; the ladies' escaramuzas
in glorious costumes; the high school bands marching bravely along
behind the sheriff's mounted posse. We love the Rodeo Queen and
her court. We love the crowd, our fellow Tucsonans, sitting in
the gutter cheering the Buffalo Soldiers and the Mormon Battalion.
