3400 E. Speedway Blvd. STAFF PICK: The surly omelet man formerly tending the omelet
bar on Saturdays and Sundays at Cuppuccinos has moved on
to bigger things (we hope). His replacement, Jaime, will hook
you up with an omelet made to order right before your eyes with
less than half the former's attitude. Choose whatever ingredients
your heart desires: fresh broccoli, tomatoes, onions, squash,
spinach, garlic, mushrooms, chiles, cilantro, and various cheeses,
to name a few. A side of fresh fruit, salsa, and your choice of
baguette or potatoes make this morning repast well worth the wait.
And Jaime is a marvel to watch, remarkably cool under the pressure
of the hungry and the occasionally snotty, working his non-stick
pan over the flames with grace and aplomb.
