STAFF PICK: Again, the readers' poll showed no consensus on this one; so we had our staff hit the cyber-surf to find a site that was not only of local origin, but really outstanding. This is what we discovered:
We live in a hard-core, dog-eat-dog society. Competition is everything. Television images of pro athletes "Just doin' it" and women with musculature most men would envy proclaim a world where they stomp their opponents as "Their Planet." The club is a non-profit sports and recreation organization which organizes family-oriented, noncompetitive activities like walks, hikes, bike rides and more. The site has a few dozen links, starting from a description of Volkssporting to recommended walks and hikes right here in the Old Pueblo.
